The first step in my process is to learn about the requirements for the project, the user demographic, define user goals and challenges. This information helps me for the next stage when I define metrics and pain points.
During this stage I solely focus on the users of your product, using the data I collected in my research phase I create user personas, highlight pain points and understand the users.
Once research and key requirements have been completed, I use the data to start rapidly wireframing out ideas. Taking into account any previous styleguides and branding I create mood boards, clickable prototypes for shareholders and provide mock-ups for developers.
Before I hand over designs to the development team I like to conduct some high level user testing on the new designs and allow them to feedback on any styling or process changes.
