Selected work
I redesigned a specialist monitoring platform used by engineers to track thousands of oil wells. The work focused on making problems easier to spot and giving users a clearer route into the production data behind them.
I designed a marketplace where people could create a shop, manage products and accept cryptocurrency. The main challenge was making wallet based access and payment understandable without losing the familiarity of a normal shopping experience.
I designed a new dashboard and visual system for a suite of operational tools. The work focused on bringing incidents and issues to the surface, while helping users move more easily between different services.
I redesigned a retailer’s website and mobile application around a common customer problem. People often had an old product in front of them, but did not know the name or specification needed to find its replacement.

Experience
I started my career in frontend development and gradually moved into product design. Since then, I have worked across government, finance, insurance, education, retail and technology, both inside client teams and through agencies.
That technical background still shapes how I work. It helps me understand constraints, communicate with developers and design products that can move confidently from Figma into production.
About me
I’m originally from the Isle of Skye and now live in the Scottish Borders. I started my career in frontend development before moving into product design, and I still enjoy working closely with engineers from early ideas through to delivery.
My technical background means I naturally look at the whole product. I enjoy learning how something works, asking questions when an idea does not hold up and finding an approach that works for users, the business and the people building it. It still feels like solving a puzzle, which is what drew me into design in the first place.
Outside work, I spend as much time outdoors as I can, usually hiking or trail running. I’m also a Formula 1 fan, a bit of a petrolhead and the owner of many vintage Star Wars toys.
